living in a hotel

i haven't been around a computer more than three times in the last month and a half. but i want to write a quick little something. i have been working near craig, colorado for the last several weeks on a archaeology project. lots and lots of digging. the hotel is nice in that we have been here long enough to kind of move in....i actually have clothes in drawers and all that. it's really beautiful around here and this time of year it is incredible to be outside. i have met some really good people on the crew and that's been fun. a lot of different people all together is interesting. that's my story. just a lot of work and then some good evenings. we have been working anywhere from 6 to 10 days in a row with one day off; 10 hour days. so, that takes up a lot of time but the evenings and the days off have been good. i hitchhiked to steamboat springs on one day off and got picked up by another anthropologist! at least that is what he went to school for; he is now a ski bum, as he puts it. it was a beautiful day. i just hung out but it was very rejuvenating and good. i am just writing for the sake of writing right now. i am at the local library--it's difficult to get here; it's only open two days of the week late enough for my work schedule. anyway, i'm ending this pointless rambling.
