here i am back home.
it's mighty good to be here. it's been awhile.
i was at my brother Andrew's place in missouri this last week. i had a great time hanging out. we did some work around the house--they are gonna try to sell it soon so we did some fixing up. and i hung out at the laundromat that he works at. it has beer and washing machines. and a pool table and video games, too. i met a couple of people there (at the laundry with Andrew) and had fun hanging out.
for those who don't know: my brother has a pompadour. is that how you spell that? but, yeah, that's right--a pomp. like elvis.
i started working at a nursery (with trees not kids) today. i have so much fun with the two guys i work with. i spend most of the day laughing. really! today we threw rocks onto the ice of the river, listening to the wierd noises they made. we did some other stuff, too, but what i remember right now is this blue sky, geese, and really warm sunshine.
mostly i read comic books. wow, do i love comicbooks. i read them like crazy. i don't even really know why. i read other stuff, too. books and all that. but comics--wow!! i really like comics from the eighties. they have amazing colors and crazy stories. it seems like most mainstream comics are pretty studid these days. not all of them, but many. i have a hard time finding any new ones on the newstand that i want to read. but the library, that's where it's at! and they come in big oversized paperback collections. many issues in one! and they're so good! some are fantastic, some are all characters, some are moving, some are beautiful, some are strange, some make me cry, some make me laugh. i disappear. i even dream about them at night. i ride my bike down to the river and find a quiet hidden place and read comics!
anyway. i had a dream several nights ago--i was standing in a shower. the tub had some standing water, like when you're in a shower that doesn't drain well, and some fish were swimming around in the water, eating skin off of my feet (this dream is not related to comics).
jen and i can hang out together in the same room. it's not just telephones now.
